Content Policy

Platform Purpose

SangatConnect lists Gurbani kirtan, katha, and dhadi vaaran events and the pracharaks who perform them. We are exclusively focused on Gurbani-based spiritual performance and the gurdwaras that host it. We do not list political rallies, commercial concerts, or events where a ticket price is charged.

Listing Eligibility

• Religious content only

  Events must be Gurbani kirtan, katha, or dhadi vaaran in nature. Interfaith events that include Gurbani kirtan may be listed with appropriate description.

• No political content

  Events that are primarily political rallies, electoral campaigns, or partisan gatherings are not listed, even if they include kirtan.

• No commercial sales pitch

  Events where the primary purpose is selling products, fundraising with paid admission, or promoting a for-profit service are not eligible.

• All jathas and sanstha welcome

  SangatConnect does not discriminate between jathas, traditions, or sanstha within Sikhi. Every Gurbani pracharak is welcome regardless of their tradition, as long as their events meet the eligibility criteria.

Verification Tiers

• Unverified

  Default status. The pracharak or event is in the system but has not been verified.

• Verified

  Identity confirmed via phone number and cross-referenced public profiles.

• Hazoori

  Verified by a major takhts, gurdwara, or established jatha. This tier indicates a higher level of institutional recognition.

Accuracy and Moderation

Events are marked as confirmed only when confirmation has been received. Unconfirmed events are clearly marked as awaiting confirmation and may change. We do not manually review every event before listing but we respond to all accuracy reports.

Reporting and Moderation

Anyone can report an incorrect listing, impersonation, or inappropriate content using the contact form. Reports are reviewed and acted upon within a reasonable time. Verified accounts of impersonation are removed immediately.

Photos and Takedown

Pracharak profile photos are placeholders until a pracharak claims their profile. Any photograph can be removed within 48 hours of a valid takedown request. No questions asked. To request removal, use the contact form and select "Takedown request" as the reason.

Data and Privacy

SangatConnect does not sell user data. Account information is used only to provide the service. Event data submitted by pracharaks and organisations is treated as public. Contact form submissions are handled confidentially and not shared.
